Cardiff Pop Up - April 2018
Duke Street Arcade, Cardiff CF10 1AZ
We open the doors to our first ever Cardiff popup on 11th April 2018. We'll be fully stocked with new and exclusive merch, rare, signed and test press vinyl, plus lovely local beers from our friends at Tiny Rebel, ideal to enjoy during our many instore events.
Every customer will receive a goody bag containing free CDs, stickers and a golden ticket, with a guaranteed prize ranging from money off our webstore to a year's free music and guestlist to a gig of your choice. And if that wasn't enough, we'll also be giving away tickets to 2000trees and ArcTanGent!
We're looking forward to seeing you soon and yes, we're dog friendly.
Wed 11th April. 10am - 6pm
Join us for beers and music, plus your first (and possibly only) chance to grab a few of the rarities and test pressings we'll have on sale
Thu 12th April. 10am - 7pm
Tiny Moving Parts shop takeover (5pm) and Orchards instore (6pm)
TMP will be spinning records, pouring beers, making sales and giving out exclusive, one of a kind Swell koozies to the first 25 ticket holders for their show who turn up at the shop. They'll also be introducing their touring buddies Orchards who'll be playing an acoustic set upstairs
Fri 13th April. 10am - 7pm
Open all day. Expect party tunes getting us into the spirit ready for Andrew WK at the uni that evening!
Sat 14th April. 10am - 7pm
Jamie Lenman instore (5pm).
Jamie will join us for an exclusive acoustic set in the evening, as well as giving away a pair of free tickets to ArcTanGent! We are of course open all day so call in and shop first
Sun 15th April. 10am - 5pm
Nervus (2pm) and Slaughter Beach, Dog (3pm) instores
A double header of awesome instores. Em from Nervus gets us started, playing a few songs from their brilliant recent album, then ex-Modern Baseball man Jake Ewald brings his Slaughter Beach, Dog to Wales for the very first time! We're also giving away a pair of tickets to 2000trees so be sure to get down early!
Mon 16th April. 10am - 6pm
Cameron Boucher instore (5pm) / closing day
Cam takes a brief break from touring with The Wonder Years to perform a one-off acoustic set! The Sorority Noise and Old Gray man will close out our popup space, so this will be your last chance to come down and pick up some exclusive merch and rare vinyl
All events are all ages and free entry, while space is available
London Pop Up - Feb 2017
To celebrate reaching 200 releases and our sweet 16th birthday we opened a popup shop in East London for two weeks in January 2017.
It included instores from Modern Baseball, Kevin Devine, Beach Slang, Gnarwolves, Delta Sleep and Tall Ships, a cocktail bar setup and run by Tiny Moving Parts, a dog day, live screen printing, a few hundred beers and loads of lovely customers. You can see more pictures of the event here.
