Sale Time!
We've recently uncovered a few forgotten gems whilst moving offices and so, along with some lovely discounts on a handful of other releases, are running a bit of a sale.
It begins at 12pm UK time on Wed 1st February and will run for one week only. We have less than three copies each of many of the items (such as the debut EPs from Secondsmile and Blakfish, as well as the square-shaped Andrew WK 7" and a promo copy of the Talons/And So I Watch You From Afar split single), just a few more of others (including Tall Ships recent 7" single, Hit The Floor) and pounds knocked off amazing albums from the likes of Shoes And Socks Off, Shapes, Algernon Cadwallader, Walter Schreifels and Mimas.
Get over to the sale page and start shopping before it's too late. Some of these things will be gone in seconds!
Matt Pryor album out now
The brilliant new album from Matt Pryor is out now! Pick it up on CD or red/gold 12" vinyl (see how nice it looks) from our webstore, along with an exclusive t-shirt, or digitally via Bandcamp or iTunes, with two bonus tracks!
Matt wrote a track by track guide to the record for Rock Sound magazine, which you can read here. Stream the album in full there or, for your convenience, right here...
Cursive
We're absolutely delighted to announce the release of Cursive's brilliant new album on limited edition 12" vinyl picture disc here in the UK!
'I Am Gemini', Cursive's seventh full-length and heaviest in years, tells the story of Cassius and Pollock, twin brothers separated at birth; one good, one evil. An unexpected reunion at a house that is not a home ignites a classic struggle for the soul, played out with a cast of characters that includes a chorus of angels and devils and conjoined twin sisters.
Recorded in Omaha, Nebraska at ARC studios with producer Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Minus The Bear, Isis) and mixed at Red Room in Seattle, Washington. Cursive is the longtime trio of Tim Kasher (vocals, guitar), Matt Maginn (bass) and Ted Stevens (guitar, vocals), with Patrick Newbery (keys) and Cully Symington (drums).
'I Am Gemini' is now available to pre-order on 12" vinyl picture disc, hand-numbered and limited to just 500 copies! Pick it up at our webstore and check out The Sun And Moon on the Rolling Stone website.

Happy Christmas!
You might have noticed by the fact that it's FREEZING and the shops are absolutely littered with tack... It's Christmas! We're now on "holiday" until next year, but have just a few more little treats for you before the big day.
Firstly, each day this week we'll be posting exclusive festive videos online from the likes of Kevin Devine, who sings us a couple of strange little songs, Matt Pryor, with perhaps the most touching festive family video this side of Bing Crosby, plus lovely contributions from Dad Rocks!, Shoes And Socks Off and Algiers. Check our our Facebook page each day for those.
Secondly, here are a couple of videos from our recent Christmas party. Tall Ships covering Tubelord, with a little bit of Pulled Apart By Horses thrown in for good measure (apologies for the terrible sound quality!) and Tangled Hair doing their best Foo Fighters impression. A bunch of really poor photos from the night can be seen on Facebook but if you're Ross from Secondsmile, you probably don't want to look!
Merry Christmas You Filthy Animal
Final posting date
Thursday 15th Dec is our final posting day for Christmas. That's just 2 days away so get those orders in now. We have just a couple of cat sweatshirts and "Merry Christmas You Filthy Animal" stockings left from our (massive!) Xmas party on Saturday. The stockings are available with a bunch of extra goodies including exclusive 21 track BSM samplers featuring "interesting" hand-drawn artwork from Tall Ships, Tangled Hair and Ross Secondsmile.
Christmas Party
Our annual Christmas Party takes place in London this Saturday (10th Dec) and promises to be quite the do! The lineup includes our very own Tall Ships (doing a set of strictly massive covers) and Tangled Hair (who'll also be getting in on the covers act) alongside two of our favourite unsigned bands, Adults The Elderly And Children, and NGOD. Talons and Simon Blood & Biscuits will be DJing, and we may have an extra surprise or two up our sleeves yet.
It takes place at The Star of Kings (2 minute walk from Kings Cross station) and is completely FREEEEE. Doors open at 6pm and will be running til late. Get the full info from Facebook
Matt Pryor
We're delighted to welcome the wonderful Matt Pryor to the family!

Released on 23rd January on CD, limited 12" (red/gold vinyl) and digital download, 'May Day' features 12 new songs, all recorded at home, as well as two bonus tracks (including a cover of Saves The Day's 'Freakish'!) as immediate free downloads when you pre-order the record. Why not pick up an exclusive Matt Pryor, gold printed t-shirt from this webstore whilst you're at it?
Matt heads off for the Where's The Band? tour around the US in January with Chris Conley (Saves The Day), Anthony Raneri (Bayside), Ace Enders (The Early November) and Into It. Over It. Check out 'Where Do We Go From Here?' below and order the record from our store.
