    Tall Ships sell out
...Not in the "oh they're not punk anymore" way, but in the literal, "oh snap, the first pressing of their debut EP is all gone, before it's even released" way.

We knew they were going to go quickly, but not that quickly! Tall Ships debut EP lasted just a couple of weeks as all 250 hand-numbered copies sold on pre-order alone, well ahead of its 15th March release date. Luckily for you, we were quick off the mark and have a 2nd batch being lovingly hand-crafted this weekend, ready for their triumphant Falmouth homecoming show on Monday.

The new CDs, again limited to 250 copies (numberd 251-500) will this time be printed in a very fetching dark pink, rather than the royal blue of the first set. Our online store has been updated and we have new, colour-matched t-shirts on their way. Keep those orders coming, before these disappear too!

    SASO covers EP
Having released three albums in the space of 12 months, Shoes And Socks Off (AKA Tobias Hayes) releases a free, download only EP of 6 covers on March 22nd entitled 'Piepton'. Tracklisting:

    1. Lounge Act (Nirvana)
    2. Not Ready Yet (Eels)
    3. You Said Something (PJ Harvey)
    4. Wolf At The Door (Radiohead)
    5. Tame (Pixies)
    6. To Forgive (Smashing Pumpkins)

The EP will be available from bsmrocks.com and a number of other websites, with an "enjoy this and share with your friends" policy very much encouraged.

After this, it'll be off to the studio where Shoes And Socks Off album number four will be recorded, with a late July release currently planned, preceeded by a busy touring schedule and a re-release of the first three records, re-packaged together as one with bonus content and unreleased tracks. Also look out for the first Shoes And Socks Off book, coming later on in 2010.

    2 new Grown Ups
Want to hear two new Grown Ups tracks from their forthcoming debut album, 'More Songs'? Well you can now do so right here.

'More Songs' will be released on May 18th in the UK and US. It comes out on 12" vinyl and limited edition, screen printed CD, with only 100 copies (in different colours) available in each country.

UK and European tour dates for May/June will be announced shortly. Their US dates with 1994, Algernon Cadwallader, Snowing and more are up on their Myspace already.

    R.I.P. Blakfish
As you've probably heard by now, those ridiculous Brummies Blakfish have unfortunately called it a day. They will of course be sorely missed. You can read their final statement and pick up some massively cheap merch from their Myspace page.

On 19th March, the guys will play a final gig. Ex-vocalist/guitarist Sam won't be joining them, but a very impressive cast of friends will be filling in. Advance tickets sold out in just one day, but keep an eye on their Facebook page for lineup announcements and any cheeky extra tickets becoming available.

    Tall Ships MP3 on nme.com
Download 'Beanieanddodger' from Tall Ships self-titled debut EP from NME.com and check out the company they're keeping. Wu-Tang remix of 'Books', anyone?

You can pre-order the EP and an exclusive t-shirt via our online shop. They're flying out and we think they could all be gone by the end of their upcoming tour with Tubelord. The CD is released on 15th March but we're sending copies out straight away.
