With just a few weeks to go until we welcome you to Hackney Central, we thought we’d update you with a little bit of information to help you plan your day. If you haven't bought your ticket yet... not to worry - you can grab one now. Firstly though, to get you in the mood, we’ve put together a little Spotify playlist for you. Have a listen while you read!
Tickets & Arrival: When you arrive in Hackney, you need to exchange your ticket for your festival wristband at The Empire Bar (291 Mare St, London E8 1EJ). Doors open at 2pm. The confirmation email you received is your ticket. Please note that Wristband Exchange will close at 10pm. As Big Day Out is an 18+ event, please make sure you bring ID with you.
T-shirt Pre-order: If you have pre-ordered one of our exclusive Big Day Out T-shirts with your ticket, you can collect these at wristband exchange (you will need to show your confirmation email). Don’t worry if you haven’t bought one yet, as they will also be on general sale on the day!
Venue Map: Here’s the map of where everything is in Hackney. Some of the venues have a smaller capacity so we cannot guarantee entry to all bands. Make sure you get down early! We’ll be releasing stage times next week!
Travelling to Big Day Out: Big Day Out is taking place on Saturday 28th September in The Empire Bar, Paper Dress Vintage and Moth Club.
Can I bring my own alcohol? No - soz. Big Day Out takes place inside three licensed premises and you will not be allowed to bring your own alcohol. You can purchase lots of lovely drinks from the bars. Please drink responsibly.
Can I bring a bag? Big Day Out is an indoor event, although there are short walks between venues. If you are bringing a bag, we advise that it is only small as there will be security checking bags at each venue and there are no cloakrooms.
We’re looking forward to having you at Big Day Out in Sept. See you in Hackney!
