Tubelord are Joseph Prendergast (19, vocals/guitar), Sean Bamberger (21, bass) and David Catmur (drums, 20). They're also a thrilling new kind of band, one who make pop songs for rock kids, straddling the best of both worlds.
Their fizzing combination of breakneck pop, anvil-heavy riffs and super-infectious chorus-like refrains, mines a virgin sound. Their first release was 'Feed Me A Box Of Words', released by Big Scary Monsters in Spring 08, which quickly sold out. Their second single ‘I Am Azzerad’ (BSM) will be released on September 29, the 7” will be available with a bonus CDR promo of new track ‘Synthesize’.
They’ve recently been up and down the country out on tour with Tellison – a split 7” from both bands was available on tour. Forthcoming shows with Blakfish, Metronomy, Johnny Foreigner and Polysics will see Tubelord on the road through to October.
