Calories have been a regular on the Big Scary Monsters Records stereo ever since the first recordings from their debut album surfaced a little over a year ago. So it gives us incredible pleasure to announce that their new, 4 track EP, 'Lets Pretend That We're Older', will be released through... us! Hi.

The Birmingham based band who rose from the ashes of the much-missed Distophia are one of most exciting new bands in Britain. With a slight nod from the influential American indie scene, Calories make the kind of music which won't fail to get your feet moving, and boasts choruses which leave your singing voice begging for a moments peace.

This EP features four brand new recordings, all of which are outtakes from their new album sessions ('Habitations' - due out in March 2010 via Smalltown America Records). After recent support slots with the likes of Johnny Foreigner, Tubelord and Dananananaykroyd, expect to see Calories joining their touring buddies at the summit of the UK independent scene very soon.

'Lets Pretend That We're Older' EP is released on November 9th in a hand-sewn, denim sleeve, via Big Scary Monsters Records.
