Bear vs Shark

Bear vs Shark hailed from Michigan and lasted a mere four years between 2001 and 2005. With influences including Les Savy Fav, The Clash, comic books and Patrick Swayze, they produced a unique mix of punk, post-hardcore and Midwest indie, and continue to be missed by many all around the world.

After sending a demo to Equal Vision, the label flew out to sign the band immediately. Their debut album, 'Right Now, Youre in the Best of Hands. And if Something Isnt Quite Right, Your Doctor Will Know in a Hurry', was released in July 2003 to a wave of glowing reviews. Propelled by an incredible live show, the buzz grew in the run up to the release of second album, 'Terrorhawk', in June 2005, before tragically calling it a day in December of the same year. Thankfully the good Bear vs Shark word has continued to spread, helped by the release of the awesome Bars of Gold album (featuring Marc Paffi and original BVS drummer, Brandon Moss) in 2010, leaving BVS with a cult status and legions of fans desperately hoping for a reunion one day.

UK based indie label Big Scary Monsters Records are beyond delighted to be releasing 'Right Now You're In The Best Of Hands...' on vinyl in Europe for the very first time. Limited to just 250 hand-numbered copies, the red/black coloured vinyl comes in a cardboard sleeve showing a number of the drawings taken from the original CD release. Due out on 9th May 2011, the vinyl will be available exclusively via the label website (along with a t-shirt bundle) and Banquet Records in Kingston.
