Kevin Devine

Brooklyn based singer-songwriter Kevin Devine releases his new album in the UK on October 17th via Big Scary Monsters. To coincide with this announcement a White Sea (Morgan Kibby of M83) remix of '11-17', taken from the new record, has been unveiled alongside a number of live videos of the pair performing together in Rob Schnapf's (Beck, Elliott Smith, Tokyo Police Club) LA studio, filmed during the album recording sessions.

'Between The Concrete And Clouds' is Devine's 6th solo studio album, produced by longtime collaborator Chris Bracco and mixed by Rob Schnapf, and the first to be fully backed by a band. The record perfectly showcases Devine's incredible talent for lyric writing and demonstrates a broad range of influences, sweeping from the grungey, hook-filled 'The First Hit' and 'Between The Concrete And Clouds' to the beautiful 'I Used To Be Someone', with brilliantly pop moments such as 'Wait Out The Wreck' inbetween.

Devine has received numerous accolades from press and fans alike over the span of his nine year career. His discography includes several EPs and live albums, as well as past full-lengths Circle Gets the Square (2002), Make the Clocks Move (2003), Split The Country, Split The Street (2005), Put Your Ghost to Rest (2006), Brother's Blood (2009), and Bad Books (2010), a side project he worked on with Andy Hull and other members of Manchester Orchestra. Kevin was last seen in the UK in 2009 touring with Brand New and Manchester Orchestra, before returning for a very successful headline stint, followed by a run of dates in Europe with Nada Surf.
